The Rock division & why none of us agree.

This is nothing new. There are dozens of different camps in the rock genre and more than not, they do not agree on what’s listenable. The divisions are segregated by aural values and era.
60s rockers have less in common with 70s rockers and even less in common with 80s era rockers and almost nothing in common with the 90s era and the 00s aka the ought, ought’s.  The divisions are as common as the generations that don’t relate to one another in society as a whole.
There’s an old music parable that goes like this…
When asked what kind of music tshe liked, the girl in the 8-gallon hat and brocade shirt said plainly, “Oh I like all kinds of music!  Country and Western!”
The point here is that all of us in fact don’t like all kinds of music.  There are plenty of styles that don’t appeal to us based on experiences, peer pressure, social indoctrinations, geographic distinctions, etc etc
If you think you like all rock simply look at this list of genres and tell me that you like them all.
